Company may reassess plans to expand troubled Guyana bauxite plant

Industrial Minerals' 23 July story on BOSAI's Guyanan operations incorrectly stated that BOSAI's interests in the country included gold and diamonds. BOSAI has never been involved in gold or diamond mining. The previous operator of the Linden bauxite operation was the Canadian firm OMAI which does have gold operations. BOSAI purchased the Linden site in December 2007.

The corrected version is below.

Chinese bauxite producer Bosai Minerals Group halted its operations at the town of Linden, Guyana, on Friday following violent protests in the area.
