Industry lobbies US government over critical mineral legislation

Scientists and manufacturers join forces to support resource security policy

Leading industry and research associations yesterday came out in joint support of legislation to establish a secure supply chain for so-called strategic minerals, which include rare earths.

The bill in question is Bingaman-Murkowski substitute amendment to the Critical Minerals Policy Act 2011 (S 1113).
