Ragedara vein graphite mine reopens backed by public and private sector support

Sri Lanka’s Ragedara vein graphite mine has restarted operations after 25 years with backing from government and private sectors.

The Ragedara mine, located in Hiriyala, north-western Sri Lanka has resumed underground mining with Sakura Private Limited emerging as the main project’s main backer in collaboration with the Sri Lankan government.
