US frac sand producer Superior Silica Sands LLC is expanding its frac sand production through a new Wisconsin mine, CEO Rick Shearer told IM.
The company, which has operations in both frac sand heartlands – Texas and Wisconsin, is building another frac sand mine and dry processing plant near Barron, Wisconsin.
“This plant will have a capacity of 2.4m tpa and should begin shipping finished product by December of this year,” said Shearer.
