US-based Iofina has commissioned its first iodine extraction plant in the US which will process waste brine water from shale oil production.
Speaking to IM, Iofina CEO Lance Baller said that the plant was the first of many in Iofina’s current commissioning programme.
“The company plans to open a new extraction plant every quarter for the foreseeable future,” Baller said.
