Magnesia prices plunge after China scraps export quota

Magnesia prices have fallen in the wake of China removing previously enforced export quotas.
Prices for magnesia in China have decreased substantially
over the past week as the market adjusts following the
cancellation of the export quota system.
While some estimated that the cancellation of the quota fee
and resource tax would reduce prices by about RMB300/tonne
