Alkane Resources hopes magnet boom will attract demand

The fast-expanding electric vehicle market has lifted hopes for rare earth demand.

Electric car demand is helping to spur fresh interest in rare earths, as government targets suggest a rapid increase in demand for neodymium and praseodymium.

Rare earth permanent magnets (REPMs) are used in the high-performance electric motors, favoured in electric vehicles.
