Chinese graphite exports increase in July

Both flake and spherical graphite trade increased significantly in the seven months to July against 2016, while China is also importing more material, mainly from North Korea and Madagascar.

Chinese exports of graphite posted double-digit growth in July against year-ago levels, latest China Customs data shows.

Exports of all graphite products from the country stood at 30,927 tonnes in July, or 72% up year-on-year (y-o-y).
