French manganese producer to cut ore production by 40% of its capacity during Q1

Metals focused French group, Eramet, is cutting its manganese production owing to the financial crisis. The company, one of the world leading producers of high-grade manganese ore, will reduce its output to approximately 40% of its capacity for ore and 35% for alloys during Q1 2009.
