Iodine and zirconia lead surge

Iodine and fused zirconia prices up; magnesite stable; fertiliser minerals stagnant or falling; lime and graphite hit by steel downturn

In complete contrast to nearly every other industrial mineral, a lack of new production has pushed iodine prices up by a substantial 20% as demand from manufacturers of products with LCD screens squeeze supply.
