Poor potash demand causes fertiliser & chemicals producer’s profits to plummet

Tel Aviv based Israel Chemicals Ltd (ICL) has blamed the “significantly lower” potash sales for a plummet in gross profits from $1,147m. in Q2 2008 to $382m. for Q2 ending 30 June.
