BFA prices drop as Chinese producers cash in on inventories

Prices of brown fused alumina (BFA), a key input in the production of refractories and abrasives, have dropped dramatically within China in the past two weeks as suppliers in the country’s largest BFA producing region, Henan, pursue large scale inventory liquidation, according to Chinese industry sources.
