Shipping rates soften from peak

Global dry bulk rates fizzle out from 2009 highs but the BDI remains above 4000

Global shipping rates eased off from last week's yearly high as the market adjusting to China's seasonal winter demand and reacted to indications that iron ore shipments were falling.
