Heavy snow hits northern China: bauxite & fused alumina supply shortages expected

Unseasonably heavy snow falls in northern China over the last two weeks, which have claimed 32 lives, caused widespread disruption to transport infrastructure in the region.


The big freeze is expected to force supply disruption and ultimately shortages of certain minerals, bauxite and brown fused alumina (BFA) in particular.
