Lack of demand in refractories causes BME to close German calcined bauxite plant

BME GmbH has decided to close its bauxite processing plant in Duisburg, Germany, due to weak demand in the refractories market.

 

The plant, which has a 5,000 tpm (60,000 tpa) capacity, was built in 2002...
