Italian tiles suffer worst year

Italy’s ceramic tile industry saw declines of 19.4% sales and 30% output in 2009

The Italian ceramics industry has been counting the cost of a recession impacted 2009. Preliminary data released by Confindustria Ceramica, the association of Italian ceramic tile and refractory material manufacturers, reveals that the year has been the worst on record with sales dropping to levels of 20 years ago.
