Chilean SQM cuts back iodine and sodium nitrate production as inventories high

Chilean mining giant SQM SA is suspending operations at two of its facilities, one in Argentina and the other in Chile.


The first, El Toco, in Chile makes sodium nitrate, while the Pampa Blanca facility in Argentina produces iodine.
