Rhodia silicas unit profits rise

Silcea division more than doubles Q4 profits as prices and volumes recover

The Silcea division of French chemicals company, Rhodia, more than doubled earnings in Q4 2009 due to a recovery in volumes and higher selling prices.


Silcea reported profits (recurring EBITDA*) of €35m. ($47m.) compared with €14m. during the same period a year earlier.
