Chilean group reports 34% drop in annual profits despite potash sales tripling

SQM SA posted a 34% drop in net profit to $327m. for 2009, despite potash sales increasing three-fold against the previous year.


The Chile-based group’s potash output tripled from 185,600 tonnes to 556,000 tonnes representing a cash value of $284.8m....
