Market recovery and new developments buoy micaceous iron oxide (MIO) prices

Micaceous iron oxide prices (MIO) have risen10% against 2009 price ranges as key end markets begin to recover, industry sources told IM.

High value micronized grades are now up by €0.5/kg ($0.65/kg) year on year for material, milled ex-works Europe. Meanwhile, MIO rock prices remain unchanged at €0.4-0.7/kg FOB Europe.  ...
