Price hikes forecast for second half as grade shortages start to impact the market

Vermiculite prices look certain to rise later in the year as a shortage of certain grades becomes more acute, particularly coarse grades.

After slightly depressed markets in 2009, sales have been increasing in Q1 for major suppliers and demand is expected to remain firm in 2010.
