Chinese bauxite prices flat

Demand sluggish ahead of summer plant closures; BFA also likely to remain stable

Prices for Chinese produced bauxite and brown fused alumina (BFA) are likely to remain flat over July and August, at least as European steel and refractory production plants further reduce production over the summer, industry sources reported.
