Austrian caustic calcined magnesia producer to install Herreshoff kiln in 2011

Styromagnesit Steirische Magnesite Industrie GmbH intends to increase its caustic calcined magnesia (CCM) production capacity by constructing a new Herreshoff kiln at its operation in Oberdorf, Austria.

The new furnace, expected to come on stream in late 2011, is to add 12,000 tpa CCM to Styromag’s existing 20,000 tpa capacity....
