Zircon and rutile prices rising as US kaolin producers seek price hikes for 2011

Zircon prices “are going mental” in China according to one source, with demand increasing and material in short supply.

Prices (ex-Chinese warehouse) are up to $1,250-1,350/tonne and there are reports they could lift another $150-250/tonne and reach $1,500/tonne in Q1 next year.
