Buyers hope slight weakening of rand could mean lower or no hike for Q1 2011

Non-metallurgical grade chromite prices have been steady since the start of the fourth quarter, with buyers hopeful of a stable market in the New Year.

A price adjustment going into the fourth quarter lifted chromite prices by $10-30/tonne, FOB North West, South Africa.
