Cost inflation in South African mining industry puts pressure on producer's prices

Andalusite miner Damrec, a subsidiary of Imerys SA, has increased prices for its andalusite products mined in South Africa by 6% for the New Year, the company told IM.

The increase, which took effect 1 October 2010 and will stay in place until June 2011, has now been passed through....
