SQM’s full year profits rise as potash volumes triple

Chilean group sees record sales in iodine and lithium; potash volumes jump 84%

SQM SA posted a 13% increase in net income for 2010 driven by a sales increase in potash, lithium and iodine, the Chilean chemicals group said.

The company reported full year earnings of $382.1m. last year, up from $338.3m. in 2009, while revenues rose 27% to $1.83bn.
