Prices unaffected by China’s reduction of annual non-met export quotas
Prices of Chinese non-metallurgical grades of bauxite have
remained stable since the start of the year despite new export
controls implemented by the Chinese government.
For 2011, China reduced the bauxite export quotas by 100,000
tonnes - from 930,000 to 830,000 tonnes - representing a 12%
drop over 2010.
