Prices continue to be supported by increasing demand, bauxite stable

Prices of zircon sourced from the USA have rocketed since the start of 2011 in line with tight global market conditions, sources told IM.

Standard grade zircon sand, FOB USA, is being traded at $1,650/tonne compared with a price of $850-950/tonne at the end of 2010.
