Market sources disagree on softening of iodine prices

Consumers report return to pre-earthquake levels but producers remain bullish

Iodine market sources are split over whether prices have softened since the spike caused by the 11 March earthquake off the coast of Japan.

While consumers told IM that prices were returning to pre-earthquake levels, one major producer said the market hadn’t budged from peak levels seen in April.
