Short supply in China puts pressure on barytes prices

Higher prices and demand are having a knock-on effect on international markets

Prices for barytes in China and India have increased this week as short supply puts pressure on the market, sources told IM.

 

“The Chinese are playing games. They are producing less and less so the prices are going up,” a source in the market told IM.
