Market agrees prices are stable, but opinion split on reason why

Brown fused alumina (BFA) prices are likely to remain stable until September, according to market sources contacted by IM.

A buyer of BFA out of China told IM that prices for the abrasive mineral are flat, despite a recent demand downtick.
