Phosphate Resources forced to suspend 700,000 tpa operation on Australian island

Perth-based Phosphate Resources Ltd (PRL)’s miners have stopped phosphate production on Christmas Island, after joining a strike started on 2 November by the cleaners and gardeners at the North West Point Detention Centre to push for better wages, according to press reports.
