Kwale secures minsands funding, rutile off-take with DuPont

World’s no.1 pigment producer agrees to buy 72% of Base’s Kenya rutile production

Base Resources Ltd has closed $170m in debt financing to fund the development of its Kwale mineral sands project in Kenya, the Australia-based company said.

At the same time, Base signed an off-take agreement with the world’s largest producer of titanium dioxide (TiO2) pigment, DuPont.
