Chinese volumes lower and large companies forcing market lower, traders say

Chromite sand prices have fallen by over 20% in some grades on the back of slack demand and falling metals prices.

Market participants told IM that prices were falling for foundry and chemical grades as users were importing smaller lots – even just ten-tonne lots.
