Lithium carbonate price stagnant despite demand growth – TRU

Canadian consultant says prices to be kept in check by over-supply through to 2020

The is little sign of upward pressure on lithium carbonate prices entering 2012, despite price increases announced by major producers, according to Canada-based lithium consultants TRU Group.

TRU has assessed the average lithium carbonate price at $4,300/tonne last year, unchanged against the price for 2010.
