Rockwood invests $140m in Chile lithium plant

New 20,000 tpa project will go towards doubling US group’s capacity by 2013

Rockwood Holdings Inc. plans to invest $140m to build a new lithium carbonate plant in Chile, through its Chemetall subsidiary, the US speciality chemicals company said.
