It’s the economy, stupid: shaky fundamentals felt in minerals markets

News of a tickdown across the UK and the Eurozone has been eyed warily by industrial minerals markets this week.

The Office of National Statistics said on Wednesday that GDP in the UK fell by 0.2% in the first quarter of 2012, led by a fall in construction.
