BASF to build new synthetic zeolites plant

New capacity will prevent supply shortage of zeolites, company tells IM

German chemical producer BASF is to begin construction of a synthetic zeolites plant which will come online in the first quarter of 2014.

“The specialty [synthetic] zeolites produced in Ludwigshafen are mainly used in catalytic applications,” the company told IM.
