A brief look at the rest of the week’s rare earths stories in the news

Kazakhstan and South Korea are planning a joint exploration project aimed at discovering rare earths in the Caspian shelf, located in the north of the Caspian Sea.

The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, met with South Korea’s President, Lee Myung-bak, earlier this week to discuss the co-operative venture.
