Electric vehicles will drive future lithium demand

Lithium demand is set to double by 2020 to 300,000 tonnes thanks to li-ion batteries

Results from the latest IM poll show that 96% of readers believe energy storage will drive the demand for lithium over the next five years.

A total of 50% of respondents said they think global lithium demand will be driven by electric vehicles (EVs) while 46% voted for grid storage.
