World steel output for 2012 flat but China inches up

Asia and US show signs of recovery while Europe and Japan remain down

World crude steel output for the 62 countries reporting to the World Steel Association (WSA) was 124m tonnes in September 2012, recording no change year-on-year (y-o-y), the WSA has reported.
