Report: US fracking supports 1.7m jobs in 2012

Shale gas is expected to account for 65% of total US gas production by 2015

Unconventional oil and gas production is transforming the US energy outlook by encouraging economic growth through the creation of new jobs and by increasing government revenues.

These are the findings from an IHS study named America’s New Energy Future: The Unconventional Oil and Gas Revolution and the Economy.
