Sherwin-Williams to acquire paint manufacturer Comex

Company signs $2.34bn deal; increases presence in Americas

US-based paint producer Sherwin-Williams has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Consorcio Comex, SA de CV, a leader in the Mexican paint and coatings market, for $2.34bn.

"Sherwin-Williams and Comex Group are an ideal fit in every respect - geographically, strategically and culturally," said Christopher Connor, CEO of Sherwin-Williams.
