Local health professionals call for thorough investigation into fracking hazards

New York’s department of environmental conservation (DEC) will file a 90-day extension to the deadline for its hydraulic fracturing (fracking) blueprint.

The extension is needed after a review of the potential hazards associated with the process failed to reach completion before the 29 November cut-off date.
