Chinese economy returns to growth for first time in 2012

Eurozone economic weakness continues; US posts strong growth figures

Chinese manufacturing conditions improved for the first time in 13 months during November 2012, according to the HSBC manufacturing purchasing managers index (PMI).

The index posted 50.5 in November up from 49.5 in October. A measure of 50 indicates no change in the economic situation.
