China issues conditions for 2013 rare earth export quotas

Strict requirements could reduce number of approved exporters further

China’s Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) has released an “Announcement on the Application Conditions and Procedures for Export Quotas of Rare Earth in 2013” clarifying the application conditions domestic rare earths producers must meet to be eligible for export quotasnext year, China Briefing has reported.
