Rutile prices slide on end market weakness

Prices dip below $1,500/tonne mark; positive pickup expected in 2013

Prices for rutile, the most pure titanium dioxide (TiO2) feedstock, have continued to decline from the first half of the year, sliding beneath the $1,500/tonne mark FOB Australia, sources indicated to IM.
