Solvay addresses contrasting conditions in soda ash markets

Southern Europe at overcapacity but US will expand, world leader says

Belgian soda ash producer Solvay said today that it will be addressing over-capacity at its southern European and Mediterranean basin operations as demand in these areas has fallen off. The company will also increase capacity in the US.
