China’s rare earth 2013 quotas to remain the same as 2012

More stringent conditions to impact number of rare earth distributors

Chinese rare earth quotas for 2013 will remain unchanged from their 2012 levels of 30,996 tonnes, China Daily reported.

In the nine months to October 2012, 9,967 tonnes were exported, according to the China Customs Statistics Information Centre. That is just one-third of China's 2012 quota.
